Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2009 brought more than 6,000 visitors to Nevada and showcased our colleges, universities and businesses to an international audience of top scientists, academics, corporate leaders and public officials. Our region certainly made a good "first impression" on the world’s future scientists and leaders, and the fair generated more than 6.6 million to the region’s economy. Hosting Intel ISEF 2009 generated more opportunities for Nevada students to pursue their interests in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Thousands of the region’s students and their teachers visited the fair to experience cutting edge science, hear from Nobel Laureates, and learn about education and career opportunities.
